 Golf Boys and girls currently in grade 5 can participate in St. John Bosco's golf team in the West County CYC Spring/Summer Golf League. Children will learn golf etiquette and proper swing techniques. The season will consist of 6 rounds of 9 hole tournament golf, three 2 hour golf lessons and playoff rounds, if required. All players and one player's parent must attend one pre-season rules and etiquette seminar. Prior to the start of the season, the team attends three Saturday hour-long instructional sessions (half hour each at the range, chipping green, and putting green). During the season, there are 6 regular season matches (about 2 hours long), followed by tournaments for qualifying teams and individuals. Participants at all skill levels are welcome. Matches are played at Pheasant Run Golf Course in O'Fallon and Family Golfplex in Kirkwood. Tee times are every two hours, between 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM. Although not guaranteed, there is some flexibility in rescheduling assigned tee times. Call Mike Ebert at 314-249-6754 if you need additional information. |
