2010 Soccer Registration
2010 Soccer registration will be held on Thursday, May 20th and Tuesday, May 25th, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Parish Center, 12934 Marine Ave.
We have boys soccer leagues for grades K-8th and girls soccer leagues for grades K-12th grade. Preseason tournaments start around August 1st. The season typically runs from Labor Day to Thanksgiving.

Laclede Gas Goes for Gold

Have you noticed the new Bosco Gold uniforms sported by many of our soccer teams this past fall? We were able to replace many of our worn-out
uniforms, thanks in part to a generous donation from the Laclede Gas employee volunteer grant
program. St. John Bosco Athletic Association met the requirements for the grant and
received $500 from Laclede Gas towards our uniform replacement costs.

Vetta Soccer Clinic

On December 28th 2009, the Saint Louis Athletica and US National Team Captain Lori Chalupny, is teaming up with Vetta Sports St. Charles, Nerinx Hall High School Soccer and Athletic Republic to provide a one day clinic & picnic for the CYC and KEEN St. Louis. Lori was also selected to the 2009 Women's Pro Soccer All-Star Team. This clinic is part of Athletica's A1 Clinic Series.
10:00 AM to 12:00 AM - clinic for the CYC players, first come first serve (limited to 80 spots) 12:00 AM to 1:00 PM - picnic style lunch with Lori Chalupny, Nerinx Hall players, CYC & KEEN St. Louis 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM - clinic for KEEN St. Louis.
KEEN is a national, nonprofit volunteer-led organization that provides one-to-one recreational opportunities for children and youth with developmental and physical disabilities at no cost to their families and caregivers.. clinic sponsored by North Star Frozen Treats.
Cost - $30 per CYC player / FREE to all KEEN Kids (CYC attendees must pre-pay on-line) *Includes one day clinic and picnic style lunch with Lori Chalupny *Includes 1 ticket for Athletica's Opening Game (April) & 1 ticket donated to Keen Charity on your behalf.
*Includes ice cream social with 4 Athletica players following Athletica's Opening day.

| CYC Night at River City Rascals on 6-11-10 |

| Mark your calendar for the date of Friday, June 11th so you can attend CYC Night at the River City Rascals game at T.R. Hughes Ballpark in O'Fallon, MO. You can participate in the CYC Parade on the field at 6:30pm, game starts at 7:05. There will be an autograph session for CYC players in attendance, and a chance to take photos of you with your favorite Rascal. Infield Reserve Tickets are only $5 for CYC players, family and friends. Use this as a great night to have a your softball or baseball team party. Plus CYC players can sign-up for a drawing to see who will throw-out the first pitch and to be bat boys/girls. First pitchers and bat boys/girls will be drawn on Monday, June 4th.

| CYC ID Cards Now Online |

| All players 5th grade and up and all coaches must have a CYC card. You will now be able to order your CYC ID cards online. Just fill out your information, upload a photo and a scanned copy of a Birth Certificate, Driver's License, Passport, Student ID or Expired CYC ID Card. The cards will be mailed to you. They cost $5 each and are good for 6 years. More info www.idcards.cycstl.net. |

The St. Louis Sports Commission and Maryville University proudly present the St. Louis Sportsmanship Summit – A morning to improve youth sports for our kids. Beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6th, 2010, parents and coaches are invited to the campus of Maryville University to join youth sports experts for an event designed to make sports better for young people.
Breakout sessions in coaching leadership, sports parenting, and sports specialization among others will give parents and coaches the tools to incorporate the principles of good sportsmanship into their youth programs. Participants will also be able to engage experts in a Q&A panel discussion addressing the most important issues facing youth sports. You are invited to attend this free event. Space is limited.
